The SJGA Summer Program is divided into five divisions; Novice Boys, Novice Girls, Intermediate Boys, Intermediate Girls and Tournament Series.

The divisions are as follows:

This division is designed to introduce the game of golf to boys and girls who have never played or have played but are not ready to play from the forward (Red) tees. The players in this division play from shortened tees. The season is comprised of 5 play days of individual stroke play. We try to have a parent walk with each group and there is a maximum score of “double par” per hole. The juniors must be 8 to 11 years of age to participate.

FEE IS BASED ON NUMBER OF EVENTS PLAYED

This division is designed for the more advanced golfers who wish to play competitive golf.  The juniors must be able to score 100 or better for 18 holes on a regulation golf course to qualify (counting all strokes).  The juniors first two tournaments will be used as qualifiers. Juniors unable to maintain a stroke average of 100 or less may be moved to the Intermediate  Division.  Juniors must be between the ages of 10 to 18.  The boys play within age groups (10-12, 13-14, 15-18, and Open) as well as the girls (10-14 and 15-18).
